London Voices - the citizen journalism competition for London: How to be a Journalist

As part of our programme of support for our London Voices Citizen Journalist competition, we are offering a fantastic 2-hour workshop entitled How to be a Journalist.  Suitable for complete beginners and aspiring journos alike, Senior Lecturer LJ Filotrani from London South Bank University will be talking about how to find and structure a great story.  She will also be answering questions about journalism in general.

This one-off event is being held at LSBU's Newsroom Elephant Studios in London Road, SE1 0AA on Wednesday 14th May 2.30-4.30pm and will cover

  • Where to find stories
  • What factors make a story newsworthy
  • How to chose the right mediums and platforms to publish your content
